Basic Job Functions:

REPORTS TO:
Delivery Manager
Delivery Supervisor

Areas of responsibility:

Comply with DOT regulations in operating Commercial Motor Vehicles including pre-trip inspections and obeying FMCSR’s and laws governing CMV’s operated on roadways.

Safely operate double and triple trailer sets between the Meridian warehouse and outlying domicile areas. 

Drive vehicle from distribution center or domicile depot to customer location on specific routes.

Deliver products (dry, frozen, refrigerated) to customer locations.

Driver must be capable of making multiple stops, cross-checking product with invoice or delivery documents and will perform customer service related functions. 

Accurate input of data to company manifest/delivery computer and reconciling returned product and customer cash/checks.

Driver must be able to legibly and accurately fill out a driver’s daily log.

Frequent bending/twisting/crouching/squatting during delivery and shuttle activities.

Frequent use of steps and ladder type devices while entering/exiting tractor and trailer during delivery activities.

Equipment used includes: combination trucks, hand truck, pallet jacks, mechanized power lifts.

 

Placement Criteria:

DOT Class A License with Doubles/Triples Endorsement and current medical exam required.

Must be able to read and write.

Must have an excellent driving and MVR record.

Must present good public image, neat appearance and have self-presentation skills.

Must reside in the immediate Pocatello area.

WORK HOURS:
Hours and Days will vary depending on Route Schedule up to 14 hours/3-5 days per week.

COMPENSATION:  D.O.E.
