Method
Layer frozen sliced potatoes and onion in lightly oiled baking dish or pan. Make white sauce from roux of flour and butter in saucepan, stir in milk with mild heat, stirring to smooth consistency; add spices.
Pour sauce over layered potatoes. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over layered and sauced potatoes and cover with bread crumbs. Bake one hour in 375 -400 degree F oven.
Yield: 12-14 (1 cup) servings.
