Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Baked Macaroni & Cheese
Comfort food at its finest, this recipe combines Cheddar and Muenster cheeses in a white sauce for a creamy, hearty taste.

Ingredients

1 lb. macaroni (cooked)
2 cup white sauce*
2 cup yellow cheddar
2 cup Muenster cheese

*White Sauce
2 cup heavy cream
2 cup milk
8 Tbsp butter
6 Tbsp flour

Method

Heat the milk and cream together to a boil. Melt butter in saucepan. When melted, add all the flour stirring constantly. Let cook for 4-5 minutes, continuing to stir. Remove from heat and add warm milk and cream while whisking -- if sauce is too thick, add a touch more milk.

Add cheese to white sauce and stir. (Save a bit of cheese for the topping.) Stir sauce into macaroni and place in a buttered casserole dish. Top with remaining cheeses. Place in 350° F oven until slightly brown and bubbly on top, about 25-30 minutes.
