Chocolate Butterscotch Squares

Chocolate Butterscotch Squares
A sweet mixture of white cake, butter and corn syrup that's drizzled with sweetened condensed milk, then sprinkled with coconut, almonds and chocolate chips and baked.

Serves: 96, 2-inch squares

Ingredients

5 lb (full box) Krusteaz White Cake Mix
8 oz (4) eggs
8 oz (1 cup) butter or margarine, softened
2 oz (1/4 cup) corn syrup
6 oz (1/2 cup) sweetened condensed milk
3 oz (1 cup) shredded coconut
4 oz (1 cup) slivered almonds
6 oz (1 cup) chocolate chips
12 oz (2 cups) butterscotch chips

Method

Place Krusteaz White Cake Mix, eggs, butter or margarine and corn syrup in mixer bowl. Using a paddle, mix on low speed 1-2 minutes or until blended. Do not overmix. Press dough into prepared 24 x 16 x 1-inch sheet pan.

Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over dough. Sprinkle coconut, almonds and chips over the top. Press firmly into dough.

 

For standard oven, bake at 350° F 25-30 minutes; for convection oven, bake at 300° F 20-25 minutes. Drizzle with melted chocolate, if desired. Cool completely before cutting.
