Method
In a 12-inch nonstick skillet, over medium heat, saute onion and turkey sausage in hot oil, stirring occasionally until turkey is browned and onion is tender, about 10 minutes. Keep warm.
Cook pasta according to package directions.
Meanwhile, in a 2-quart saucepan, heat the half-and-half or cream and broth to boiling over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium; add crushed red pepper flakes and cheese, whisking constantly, until the cheese is melted and smooth. Stir in turkey-sausage mixture and heat through.
In a serving bowl, toss drained pasta with the turkey-sausage mixture. Sprinkle the diced tomatoes on top of the pasta for a colorful garnish.
