Garlic Mashed Potatoes with Crunchy Onions
This is a simple recipe that is designed to accompany Easter Ham, Lamb, and other main entrees. Uses conventional ingredients and spices up a plain old spud.

Ingredients
3 cups water
1 cup milk
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp instant minced garlic
3 cups mashed potato flakes
1/4 cup sour cream
(1) 2.8 oz can French fried onions, crushed
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Method
Lightly grease shallow 1-1/2-qt casserole. In medium saucepan, bring water to boil. Remove from heat. Add milk, salt and garlic; stir. Add potato flakes and sour cream; mix well.
 
Spoon potatoes into greased casserole. Sprinkle with onions and cheese. Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 30 to 60 seconds or until golden brown.
