Method
In mixer bowl cream butter, sugar and molasses; beat in egg. Sift dry ingredients together; gradually mix into creamed mixture. Stir in raisins. Chill dough. Roll out to 1/8-inch thickness on floured board; cut into desired shapes with sharp-edged cookie cutters. Bake on greased baking sheets in 350 degree F oven 10 to 12 minutes (baking time may vary depending on size of cookies). Remove to racks to cool. Decorate as desired.
