Method
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Melt butter in large heavy skillet. Cook green onion and asparagus over medium heat, about 3 minutes. In a separate large mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk and seasonings. Place asparagus mixture and ham in well-buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Pour egg mixture over ham and asparagus mixture. Bake 20 minutes. Sprinkle dish with cheese and bake an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
