Method
Combine crushed pineapple and 2-1/4 cups of A.1. in food processor, purée and set aside.
For each sandwich, rub one ham steak with 1/2 Tbsp of A.1. and grill. Rub two pineapple rings with 1/2 Tbsp A.1. and grill. Spread 3 oz of pineapple purée on one side of two slices of toast and place ham and pineapple rings on bottom slice of toast. Cover with top slice of toast and cut on a bias in half.
Variation: Change pineapple rings to grilled pear slices.
