Harvest Loaf Cake

Ingredients
1-3/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp cloves, ground
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup canned or cooked pumpkin
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
1/2 cup confectioners sugar, sifted
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1 to 2 Tbsp cream

Method
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease bottom of 9" x 5" x 3" pan. Combine flour, soda, salt and spices. Cream butter in large mixing bowl. Gradually add sugar; cream at high until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs; beat well. On low, add dry ingredients alternately with pumpkin; begin and end with dry ingredients. Blend well after each addition. Stir in chocolate morsels and 1/2 cup walnuts. Pour into pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup walnuts. Bake for 65 to 75 minutes, until cake springs back when touched lightly in center. Cool.
 
To make the spice glaze, combine confectioners sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Blend in the cream until it reaches the consistency of a glaze.
 
Drizzle cake with glaze. Let stand 6 hours before slicing.
