Method
Trim off top of garlic bulb exposing top of each clove. If necessary trim bottom so bulb lies flat. Discard loose skins and puncture with fork. Sprinkle each clove with olive oil or butter (approximately 1/2 tsp per clove) and season to taste. Cover and bake at 300 degrees F for 60-70 minutes. Baste several times during baking. Delicious warm as a spread on bread or crackers.
