Method
In a food processor or with a mixer, mix the sugar, yeast and lukewarm water. Add the flour, 1/3 cup of peanuts, salt, and butter, and mix until well blended. Add ice water slowly and mix vigorously until the batter comes away from the sides of the bowl. Mix in the remaining peanuts and raisins.
Dust the dough ball with flour, cover the bowl and set in a warm place to rise to twice its volume, between 1-1/2 and 3 hours.
Knead the dough in size. Divide and shape it into 2 loaves and place the loaves in greased loaf pans. Cover the pans with plastic wrap and let the loaves rise until they rise up out of the pans, about 45 to 90 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Bake the loaves for about 35 minutes or until they sound hollow to the tap. Take the bread from the oven and immediately remove from the pans. Cool on rack before serving.
