Method
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Thaw pastry at room temperature 30 minutes. Combine apples, brown sugar, butter and spice. Set aside.
Unfold and cut pastry, on lightly floured surface, 4" squares. Press squares into bottom of paper-lined (8 oz) muffin pan cups or into spray-coated ramekins.
Portion 1/2 cup (#8 scoop) apple mixture into each muffin cup. Top each portion with 1 tsp nuts. Bake 18 minutes or until pastry is golden. Cool about 5 minutes before serving.
Yield: 24 (4") muffin cups.
