Method
Beat whipping cream stiff. Fold in sour cream. This is the Savory Base for all other recipes.
For variations add the following:
- Blue Cheese Dip
Add 3/4 cup crumbled blue cheese to 3 cups of the Savory Base.
- Mustard Dip
Add 3 Tbsp Dijon Mustard and 3/4 tsp thyme to 3 cups of the Savory Base.
- Herb Dip
Add 1/4 tsp grated lemon peel and 1/2 tsp of dill weed to 3 cups of the Savory Base.
To serve: Arrange 24 Romaine lettuce leaves on a serving platter. Place 3 small bowls with 1 cup of each dip. Arrange 6 qts of strawberries around each dip.
For single servings, spoon 2 Tbsp of each dip into 3 serving bowls on plate.
