Summary Food Services of America prides itself in maintaining the integrity of the food products placed in our control by our vendors and suppliers. While we operate a case in/case out service, and do not produce or package any of the products we handle, we protect those products in our care by consistently surpassing the most stringent food safety standards as required by the USDA and FDA in our daily operations. Security Guidelines Events in the world have heightened the safety concerns of Food Services of America customers. While quality and security are always our highest priority, there are specific actions that Food Services of America have implemented to further reduce the risk of an actual or perceived tampering or containment incident. Food Services of America has reviewed and strengthened all current procedures pertaining to: - Inspection of trucks and trailers for the presence of foreign matter prior to unloading or loading products.
- Access to our facilities.
- Department of Transportation background checks on all delivery drivers.
- Damaged product procedures.
- Identification of possible contamination issues of products at the customer location and communication to the proper authorities if such a risk is present.
- In addition, we encourage Food Services of America Associates who regularly move freely through the warehouse to report suspicious activity.
