His experience with FSA includes Customer Service, Sales Relief, Street Sales, National Account Executive/Director, Billings District Sales Manager, Billings VP of Sales, Development & Training Manager and today is Director of Marketing and Training. Those 38 years of experience provide him with the knowledge to assist FSA sales associates with their careers and help customers with systems and procedures within their operations. The National Account Specialist grew up in the business. His father was in the Food Service Distribution business for 42 years. He has worked in the industry for just over 35 years. Over that time, he has worked as a Truck Driver, Sales Associate, Buyer, Director of Sales, District Manager, National Account Executive and National Account Manager. Currently he oversees the Billings National Account Department which includes 3 Account Executives, 2 Account Coordinators, Healthcare/School Specialist and 5 Customer Service Representatives. The Produce Specialist has been with FSA for 22 ½ years and buying produce since 1984. He has been in the food distribution industry since 1977 and working with produce since 1978. He does all the produce buying and is also our ‘go-to’ guy in helping sales associates and customers with any produce needs that they might have.
The Warehouse Specialist started in 1985 with Pacific Fruit and Produce in Eugene, Oregon. He went through the acquisition in 1987 and moved to Portland to work at the FSA branch there. He was a teamster for 18 years during which he did every job in the warehouse from sweeping floors and repacking produce to a foreman for both day and night crews. During his time in Portland he was involved in moving to 2 different buildings, in which he finally ended up at Portland’s present location in Woodburn (he hopes he doesn’t have to move warehouses again)! In 2003 he was promoted to the day supervisor at the Portland branch. In June of 2004 he was again given the opportunity for a promotion and has been with us here in Billings since.
The Transportation Specialist has 23 years of foodservice experience, all of those years with FSA. He started as an order selector, went to driving, and then moved to working as a night supervisor. In 1992 he became the Warehouse Manager. In 2003 he left Billings and transferred to our FSA Everett branch as a Warehouse Manager, and eventually became the VP of Everett Operations. He then became the VP of Seattle Transportation. In 2010 he transferred back home to Billings as the Transportation Manager. His driving force has always been, and always will be, customer service.
The Delivery Router Specialist started with Pacific Gamble Robinson (eventually acquired by FSA) in May of 1966 as a summer helper on the night crew. He worked nights for 22 years and put himself thru college with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Economics. He started routing in 1970 and was the night foreman in Great Falls for approximately 14 years until the branch closed. In 1990 he was hired in Missoula as the warehouse foreman and transferred to Billings when Missoula closed in the spring of ‘92. As router it is his job to assemble routes for all of the areas we serve sending the right size truck and trailer to hold the cases for that route. Keep in mind our distribution area includes parts of 5 states! As a router it is his job to level out routes in a given area so the work load is even and time windows reasonable for the drivers. He might be the only FSA employee who has gotten a twenty year recognition pin twice!
The Inventory & Quality Control Specialist has been working in this field for FSA Billings since 1997. He is responsible for keeping track of all aspects of inventory, working to keep it as accurate as possible to prevent outages or other problems. He also fields all types of quality issues or concerns and works to get them resolved quickly to ensure that we are sending out top quality product to our customers. Our Great Front Desk Receptionist has worked in this field for about three years and has been with us for 1. On-top of this she has worked in the customer service field for over 20 years. Her primary responsibilities are answering and directing all calls that come into the switchboard and sign in all visitors. She also helps out the finance department when needed. Give us a call today and let her help. The Produce Quality Control Specialist has worked 10 years in the foodservice and produce industry, the last four as a part of the FSA family. He does a daily walk thru to check the quality of our produce as well as fielding calls from our sales force to answer any and all questions they may have. Once a week he will pick certain produce items out of the warehouse and puts them in a Power Point to provide our sales force another tool to use to sell to our customers. His ultimate goal being to support the sales force to help them build long lasting customer relations.
